Search at Clondalkin home in Annie McCarrick probe concludes, Man questioned about Annie McCarrick says ‘police are feeding you lies’

Gardaí have concluded searches carried out at a home in Clondalkin as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Annie McCarrick.

Ms McCarrick was 26 years old when she went missing after emigrating to Dublin from the USA in 1993.

The American woman was last seen on March 26, 1993 with the missing person case upgraded to a murder investigation on the 30th anniversary of her disappearance.

Earlier this month, a man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ms McCarrick. He was released without charge.

At the same time, investigating Gardaí began searches of a home in Clondalkin, understood to be the chief suspect’s family home at the time of McCarrick’s disappearance.

The home was bought by the current owners within the last 15 years.

Searches in the home have now concluded with a statement from Gardaí confirming they would not be releasing details of the search for ‘operational reasons.’The statement added that they had updated Ms McCarrick’s family on the developments and reiterated that the current residents of the house are not connected to the missing woman or her disappearance in any capacity.

‘The investigation into the disappearance and murder of Annie McCarrick continues led by the investigation team from DMR South Central Divisions Serious Crimes Unit based at Irishtown Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer, assisted by the Serious Crime Review Team, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation,’ they statement said.Anyone who may have previously come forward to investigating Gardaí and didn’t provide all the information is urged to come forward also.
