OUR COUNTRY, OUR FAITH, even in Iraq Christians are back. It’s beautiful to see 450 Syriac Catholic children from the town of Qaraqosh (Baghdeda) in Nineveh Plains, Iraq, take their First Holy Communion. This town had been captured by ISIS terrorists in 2014, but its’ residents are resilient and rebuilt after so much tragedy. The faith remains alive in Iraq after almost 2,000 years.
