*Please RT* My mother entered a nursing home in Laois at the end of February. It was closed down in April and she was then transferred to another. From February until last night I’ve asked every professional in her care system to please listen to me regarding her medications. 8 professionals in total, from both the nursing home, and Portlaoise hospital. Doctors, nurses, head of nursing. No one is listening to me. They are feeding her with a concoction of numerous tablets which have made her very distressed, ill and confused and last Saturday I was told her meds were to be upped. I asked again to speak with the Doctor in charge. The Doctor is on a 2 week holiday. I’m just after getting a call to say my mam has been rushed to hospital, unresponsive.
