@MarioNawf MICROSOFT TO LAY OFF UP TO 9,000 EMPLOYEES – LARGEST CUT SINCE 2023 Microsoft is slashing 4% of its global workforce – about 9,100 people – in its biggest round of cuts in 2 years. The company already laid off 6,000 in May, and reports last month hinted at more incoming, especially in sales. Now it’s official. Microsoft had 228,000 employees as of last summer. That number is about to shrink fast. Big Tech isn’t bleeding like it was in 2022… but this round shows the belt-tightening era isn’t over. Not even close. Source: Reuters, Seattle Times
