1913 John ‘Killy’ Kilmartin was born in Dundalk. Killy was joined the RAF in 1937 on a short term commission & fought over Dunkirk, the Battle of Britain and Normandy & survived the war. Kilmartin had 15 confirmed kills making him a pilot ace. We had our Heroes.
