He was arrested last week

He was arrested on July 1 in Florida by US marshals on foot of an Irish extradition warrant.

Gibney was due to appear in court in Orlando tomorrow after requesting a detention hearing.

However, his lawyer told the court today the former swim coach had agreed to be extradited to Ireland.

Lawyer Fitzgerald Hall told the court he had met with his client and discussed the case before coming to the decision.
