1/2. The Hard Left – Do they Support Islamic Men Exploiting Young Boys? An Fhírinne, [Jul 12, 2025 at 00:06] VIEW POINT: You probably have never heard of ‘Bacha Bazi’, an Islamic custom found in Afghanistan and surrounding countries that they are not anxious to talk about. The word itself translates as ‘boy play’. While some apologists for Islam will consider it as culture I simply see it as imprisonment, enslavement and the sexual assault of male minors. This is a practice deeply ingrained in the culture of Afghanistan. Young boys are encouraged to wear make up and dress in womens clothes and dance to ‘please’ older men, often warlords. The Taliban Islamic rulers of Afghanistan are unhappy with it as a custom but have done nothing to wipe this vile tradition out. This opens up a door to male prostitution and exploitation which through shame is seldom discussed. The boys often come from impoverished families and vulnerable backgrounds. Sexual servitude and the keeping of ‘dancing boys’ was often seen as a status symbol amongst powerful warlords and even the Taliban were reluctant to intervene. Interestingly a recent publication by the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission found that 78% of the men who practiced Bacha Bazi are married indicating that the age profile was increasing from very early to late teens or older. This is a problem for Islamic law as according to a recently published academic article published in the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review by Samuel V and Jones of the John Marshall Law School which found that while Islamic law deplores homosexual relationships between men it tolerates same sex relationships between men and boys. The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime that is based in Geneva stated that ‘given various reports of the Taliban’s human trafficking practices over the last two decades such as the use of bacha bazi it can therefor be expected that under the Taliban’s rule, current human rights violations and human trafficking practices will continue and often be amplified in the name of preserving traditional values and cultural norms’. Clearly this practice is part of what the Taliban in Afghanistan call culture. It is reasonable to ask does this practice occur in Ireland amongst the Afghan diaspora. If it does our understandable lack of familiarity with the behaviour of a people that we know nothing about will act as a barrier to its recognition. Young boys may very well be held in sexual slavery and remain unidentified as we would have the natural presupposition that this is an issue affecting girls. Anyway probe too deeply and you are racist according to our self appointed political elite and the mainstream media that defends them uncritically. We simply don’t know and the Gardaí don’t know and I am sure don’t want to know. No Garda wants his career to end under the cloud of a racist accusation from our political left. The imperial left affect the illusion that when a person from a totally different culture comes to Ireland that their attitude and culture changes and that they adopt the values of the host nation. Bizarrely leftists also speak about valuing the culture of all. They can’t have it both ways. What actually happens is that the migrant retains his ‘culture’ including attitudes to women and children. Islam will influence and continue to influence every aspect of his life and it is utterly disingenuous to suggest otherwise.
