Meanwhile the 85-year-old man will have a miserable life dealing with the trauma of a home-invasion. And the Garda may get sick of working in the force due to the cumulative effect of dealing with these scumbags on a daily bases – and seeing them walking around, in most cases just getting the Probation Act. It’s shocking to think that they get so many chances before even getting a criminal conviction at all.
