Ballina Refugee Hotels Update I took a little time to dig into this young man’s claim about hotels in Ballina housing migrants.

who has been to the fore of protests against forced government migrant centres in the area and her network have been terrific. When I posted the video several leftist claimed the young man was making things up. You can see in the comments of my original post. So, having spoken to people on the ground and conducted some online research here is what is known about Ballina hotels. 1. The Great National Hotel was one of the earliest hotels to sign up for government handouts to house refugees. They took in 60 Ukrainians in March of 2022. 2. The Downhill Inn Hotel has all 43 rooms given over to refugees. 3. The Twin Trees outside of which the young man was talking is set to take 120 refugees in 33 rooms. 4. The claim that attracted most abuse and mockery was the claim that the upper market Mount Falcon Hotel was taking money to house refugees and/or migrants. I emailed the hotel asking if it was the case that they were accommodating refugees under the government’s IPA scheme. A spokesman for the hotel said; “Discretion is a fundamental virtue of ours, and by definition, our business, as a consequence, we never have been, and never will be, in a position to comment about any of our guests, past or present. The only exception we make to this is when we have the explicit authorisation of a guest to do otherwise.”However, after reaching out to Ballina protestors,
@SharonMcgoldri6 citing a source very close to the hotel, confirmed that 50% of rooms at Mount Falcon were given over to refugees and cabins were being used on site to accommodate others. Ballina, it’s tourism trade and local economy is being bought out by the government and sold out by a handful of greedy hoteliers.
