Volunteers are needed to befriend older women in several nursing homes in County Roscommon, with a minimum commitment of just two hours per weeks & includes activities such as befriending a resident and engaging in shared interests like reading, listening to music or simply having a chat. The Community Linkage Project, as it is called, is managed by Age Friendly Ireland and funded by the Women’s Health Fund in the Department of Health.
