Comment in: I attended the Galway film festival last month and I know this site always supports one of Ireland’s greatest film producers. Jim Sheridan’s movies are known worldwide. The Field, Into the West, The Script, and the story of Gerry Conlon, not forgetting Murder at the Cottage, his most recent one 4 years ago. But as a critic, Re-Creation was a Flop. It just didn’t capture the audience and it certainly did not get to grips with the complexity of the Sophie du Plantier / Ian Bailey Case which from the beginning, the Gardai put the floodlights on Ian Bailey and they just never turned them off. I wonder how much this cold case has cost the Irish taxpayers to date and how long these investigations will continue. Hopefully, Jim Sheridan will try another Docudrama and this time will carry no passengers and have people who have a credible acting background. Thank you
