The arrests follow pressure on South Yorkshire Police after 30 Rotherham grooming survivors accused officers of sexual assault

TEN men have been arrested as part of a historical investigation into child-grooming gangs.

The suspects, aged between 49 and 71, were held after six alleged victims claimed they were sexually abused as children during the 1990s.

The offences were said to have taken place between 1994 and 1997 and involved girls aged between 13 and 15.

Police arrested the men in Bradford as part of the probe.

They were quizzed and have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Det Chief Insp Vicky Greenbank said: “Safeguarding and protecting children remains the top priority for West Yorkshire Police.
