It is not possible to determine the exact number of members of An Garda Síochána currently in prison. However, it is known that at least 20 members have been charged and convicted of criminal offenses in the past four years, according to BreakingNews.ie. These offenses include assault and drink-driving. While the exact number of currently incarcerated gardaí is not publicly available, it is known that the Irish Prison Service has a significant number of inmates, with the prison population exceeding capacity.  We believe there are 28 Gardai Jailed at present, and many more Gardai before the Courts next Month, some on Serious Charges, Assaults, Sex Assaults, Robbery, and House Break Ins.
