This is what’s wrong with the justice system; a wealthy person who feels the urge to act like a thug can pay a few grand – and it will literally be “grand” unless they’re incredibly stupid enough to get arrested again. The judges can’t impose decent sentences because the thugs will appeal and waste more court time. The law needs to change to protect victims.
