CHINA WARNS U.S. AND BRITISH WARSHIPS IN TAIWAN STRAIT China’s military said U.S. destroyer Higgins and British frigate Richmond sailed through the Taiwan Strait, accusing them of “causing problems and provoking.” The Eastern Theater Command announced Naval and Air forces were ordered to monitor and Warn the Ships, claiming their actions send “false signals” and undermine regional stability. The British Ministry of Defense said the passage was a routine transit. The U.S. military did not immediately comment as Beijing sharpened its Warning over foreign Warships in the sensitive strait.
