In my 40 years of political Reporting, the Senseless Assassination of Charlie Kirk is one of the most shocking events I have ever witnessed. Why? Because while politicians have always faced the risk of attack from Lunatics, Charlie was not an elected official. He was simply standing up for what he believed in and championing everyone’s right to Free Speech and open debate.
