OVER €322,000 in cash has been seized as part of a money laundering investigation into “significant” cash withdrawals from ATMs across Dublin and Cork.

On 11 September, the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau received information in relation to the cash withdrawals from ATMs across Dublin and Cork between 11 August and 9 September.

The transactions involved the use of bank cards linked to accounts in Poland and Norway.

This led to gardaí locating and searching a vehicle in the Lucan area of Dublin on 13 September.

During this search, a substantial quantity of cash and multiple bank cards were recovered.
