Just when you think you’ve seen it all when it comes to the insane cost of buying and renting in Ireland, a ‘glorified shed’ has now hit the market for more than €200,000.
The single-storey, one-bedroom premises hit the market this week with the property sellers confirming it was refurbished ten years ago.
The Crumlin accommodation is currently being rented, with the potential new owner set to receive €18,000 annually from the sitting tenants.

164a Old County Road, Dublin 12, Crumlin is quite literally an extension of the 164 Old County Road, with the owners building a wall to divide the premises.
Housing commentator Ciarán Mulqueen of Crazy House Prices shared the posting, noting: ‘Crumlin has utterly lost the run of itself.’
The ad comes with just two photos, both from the front of the house, with no photos of the interior of the box accommodation.
Ciarán’s post was met with much fury from fellow social media users who were vexed over the hefty price tag for the small premises.
One wrote: ‘No photos of the inside. Probably can’t fit a human and a camera at the same time. Daft really picked an appropriate name when they set up their business, didn’t they?’
Another commented: ‘Jaysus. The word bungalow is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. More like a 1 bed shoe box.’
