As a gay man, I believe many other gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals agree with me that this ‘woke’ agenda is going too far. When I was 10, I could barely grasp multiplication and division, yet now children are being taught about pronouns and sexual orientation at such a young age. Schools should focus on developing and nurturing young minds, preparing them for the challenges of adulthood. Introducing these complex topics too early risks confusing children and altering their natural behaviors, robbing them of the carefree joy of childhood and the opportunity to focus on essential academic learning. Historically, nations and societies have agreed that schools should be safe havens, protecting children’s innocence from the harsh realities and complexities of the adult world, and now they no longer safe making everyday parents suspicious of the state interfering in the development of children for their ideological agendas. For the parents out there, protect your children,the constitution states that you are the primary educator not the state.
