We now have a serious case of Disinformation by the Irish state broadcaster, RTE, Here their reporter quotes another state body ‘The Electoral Commission’: “These [Spoiled] votes will simply be cast aside and the voice of the voter won’t be heard…” This is disinformation. ‘Spoiled’ ballots are not ‘cast aside’, they are counted a the number of Spoiled ballots is declared. The end result will include that number. If it’s big enough it could certainly determine ‘the end result’ and theoretically, were the Spoiled vote number to be higher than the number one votes of any one of the three government curated candidates, a very significant debate would ensue
