Emma’s inquest heard that her remains were so badly burned they were ‘not suitable’ to be identified by her heartbroken family

A MAN has pleaded guilty to the murder of mother-of-two Emma McCrory in Dublin almost three years ago.
At the Central Criminal Court, George Turner, 55, of Fairview Avenue, Fairview, Dublin, admitted that on December 15, 2022, he killed Emma in her home on Howth Road, Clontarf.
Turner entered a guilty plea to the murder charge, with the matter put back for sentencing by Mr Justice Paul McDermott to this Friday. Turner was remanded in custody to that date.
At the District Court, his solicitor had requested a psychiatric assessment for his client, saying that he had a history of mental illness.
He had been remanded in custody before today’s guilty plea and faces a mandatory life sentence.
A stylist and fashion wholesale manager, Emma, 45, died after a blaze broke out in her house on the evening of December 15, 2022.
