e’s the Greystones Instagram and TikTok influencer who’s done quite a bit for charity – including fundraising for his mum after her battle with cancer – but today, Alex Nolan pleading guilty to passing off counterfeit money.

And the offences all took place at SuperValu in his hometown.

According to a report by Darragh McCann in The Bray People, evidence was presented at Bray District Court today of Nolan purchasing a drink for €2.30 on February 12th 2024 with a €50 note at SuperValu that was later discovered to be counterfeit.

The following day, the accused pulled the same trick, whilst a third attempt to pass off a counterfeit €50 at the same supermarket on February 21st was scuppered when a staff member grew suspicious of the note and called the store manager.

The previous two fraudulent purchases were confirmed through the use of CCTV footage.

Solicitor for the defendant, Michael O’Connor, told the court that his client was ready to outline the background circumstances that led to his actions.

Judge David Kennedy scheduled January 19th, 2026 for Nolan to next appear before Bray District Court, following the preparation of a probation report.
