The footage was later shared to London and UK Street News’ X account with a trigger warning and the caption: “Don’t mess with Iceland.”

The confrontation took place at the self-checkout tills between a customer and member of staff.

The enraged customer then proceeded to shout: “Oh my god that is assault.

“I am phoning the police. Can you phone the police please.”

While continuing to urge someone to call the cops, she attempted to leave the supermarket but was blocked by the same member of staff.

He then continued to strike her with the whip again while repeatedly screaming “empty your bag”.

Furious, the customer shouted: “Who the f*** do you think you are?

“My kid’s outside waiting to go to school. How dare you. Who the hell do you think you are hitting a customer in a shop?”
