While walking through the Old City of Jerusalem, I met Birtukan, an Ethiopian Christian who has made the Holy City her home for 25 years. In a time when the world is filled with fear and reports of terrible violence, her perspective is a powerful light. Despite the surrounding conflict, Birtukan’s faith is unshakeable. She shares why she feels safe, protected, and blessed, attributing her strength and safety to her deep Christian belief.
