One of the men reportedly managed to flee police custody before being captured a short time later

Five men have been arrested since the alleged rape was reported, the Aachen public prosecutor’s office has confirmed.
The young woman claims she was gang-raped by the group of men on Saturday morning.
Police launched an investigation and just a day later, as German special forces swarmed an apartment in Heinsberg-Unterbruch near to the Dutch border.
The teenager had told cops the apartment was the scene of the alleged crime when she filed the police report.
They are all believed to have lived in Germany for a considerable amount of time.

The teenager is not said to be German, police added.
