A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering a “beautiful” student in her own home.
Aspiring psychologist Stephanie Irons, 23, was discovered dead in Mapperley, Nottingham, on Tuesday night.

Adedapo Adegbola appeared at Nottingham Crown Court charged with murder.
The 40-year-old, who is known to Stephanie, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the hearing.
Adegbola was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing on November 17 at the same court.
A 40-year-old woman arrested on suspicion on assisting an offender has since been released on bail.
Stephanie was at Nottingham Trent University studying clinical psychology at the time of the horror.
Her devastated family paid tribute to their “bright young star” saying: “Steph had an infectious smile and laugh which lit up any room she walked into.
“She was a beautiful, loving and caring daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She had a compassion for others and would always see good in everybody.
“She had a huge heart and wore it on her sleeve.”
The family said Stephanie’s dream was to be a psychologist and explained she was “well on the way after gaining both a degree and master’s in clinical psychology”.
They continued: “After gaining experience, she was about to apply for her doctorate in clinical psychology.
“Our bright young star has had her future taken away and while we can’t comprehend what has happened, she will be forever with us.”
Detective Inspector Stuart Barson, senior investigating officer, said specially trained officers were providing support for her family and friends.
