When DJ Carey appears in Dublin Circuit Court this week to receive his punishment for faking cancer to scam people out of money, at least one victim won’t be there to witness his disgrace.

Noel Tynan, who was duped into giving the legendary Kilkenny hurler thousands of euro for supposed cancer treatment, said he won’t be giving a victim-impact statement either.
