This headline grabbed my attention the other day and it actually frightened me. So the Irish government will allow, obviously migrants with a piece of paper saying they are teachers do an induction test and then become teachers. So many things about this are wrong with this; We are exporting our own young teachers because they can’t afford to live here. Vetting – we know from nursing home scandals and other incidents that people are not properly vetted. Are their qualifications fully checked? Are they able to fully speak English? What type of culture are they coming from? What TDs wife/ brother/ cousin, is poised with a recruitment agency ready to recruit teachers from afar and make a fortune? Picture the scenario when the class is made up of foreign students and the teacher has the same language. First a few foreign words here and there and then more. Soon the Irish child has no idea what is being said. Contact your local TD about this. Because this Government is racing towards the cliff edge and they want to take you and your children with them
