‘I was completely Duped by DJ Carey,’ says Denis O’Brien as former Hurler is Remanded in Custody. Many people after the Bust in 2009 faced hardship and the loss of properties, wealth but no-one received the opportunities that D J Carey got. Denis O’Brien, a decent human being, who has helped many people (behind closed doors) who were in genuine difficulties really offered the hand of friendship to Carey. Approximately 5 years ago, Carey got a free apartment in Dublin 4 with housekeeper, car, a job in Newstalk and then £130,000 to help him clear some of his debts. What did the Fraudster Carey do – he played golf four days a week, failed to turn up to Newstalk, jogged every night around Ballsbridge and put the finger on many people in that affluent area claiming he had cancer. This all happened unknown to Denis O’Brien. Two years later when Denis realised what Carey was up to, he organised for the locks to be changed in the apartment, packed Carey’s bags and gave him the exit door. Carey really turned in to A NASTY PIECE OF WORK. AS ON GAA MAN SAID, AN ACCOMPLISHED LIAR, WITH NO CONSCIENCE. Monday morning will tell a story and maybe in the winter nights in his prison cell, Carey will have time to reflect on what he has done to the lives of so many Decent people
