Former Kilkenny hurler DJ Carey is being pursued by the Revenue Commissioners for a debt of nearly €25,000 after he failed to pay income tax on money he received from public appearances.

In 2018, a judgment was registered against Carey for €27,938 while he was living in an apartment in Station House, New Quarter, McDonagh Junction in Kilkenny city.
