It’s also missing the points that (1) children cost more than pensioners when everything is taken into account (healthcare for kids and expectant mothers, education, sports facilities, housing…) and (2) there would be ample funds to care for our elderly if the Govt wasn’t wasting it on vanity projects (bike shed, children’s hospital), subsidies for investors (HAP, first-time buyer relief etc), subsidies for cheapskate employers (Working Family Allowance etc) and massive pensions, salaries, expenses & perks for senior civil servants and of course TDs.
