A WOMAN has been found guilty of the murders of two men who were shot dead and their bodies dumped on an island 11 years ago.

Ruth Lawrence, 46, had denied murdering Anthony Keegan, 33, and Eoin O’Connor, 32, between April 22 and May 26, 2014.

But after deliberating for almost 14 hours since last Thursday, a jury returned majority verdicts yesterday.
Members of the victims’ families broke down in floods of tears as the outcome was delivered.
The bodies of the two missing Dublin men were found bound and buried in a shallow grave on Inchicup Island on Lough Sheelin in the midlands in 2014.
The Central Criminal Court jury, by a majority verdict of 11-1, agreed with the prosecution’s case that Lawrence shot and worked “as a unit” with her boyfriend, South African national Neville van der Westhuizen, to murder drug dealer O’Connor, after they had lured him to their home.
