Statement to the Bishops of Ireland

Why are our Bishops not urging parishioners to defend the Catholic ethos in our primary schools? At a time when clear leadership is urgently needed, your silence is striking – and deeply discouraging. We have raised serious concerns about radical changes to relationship and sexuality education, yet there has been NO strong public guidance, NO call to action, and NO clear defence of Catholic schooling. Bishop Deenihan of Meath has not accepted an invite from mothers in Meath. The door was closed even though he agrees the content and policies do not align with Catholic anthropology. Communication form Bishop Denis is below. We ask you, respectfully but firmly: Please speak. Please lead. Please stand up for the values and identity of our schools. The faithful cannot do this alone.
