The majority of Asylum seekers coming to Ireland are economic Migrants who are not fleeting Persecution but coming here for all the Freebies!

  1. They are coming from places where workers’ rights are virtually inexistent, so they’ll accept low-pay jobs subsidised by Welfare and they’ll accept the “three-week roster” system that deprives workers of a chance to join a club or take up any regular activity. This is great for employers, but terrible for Irish workers who are trying to improve working conditions. All those decades of progress will be rolled back, all the efforts by unions and civil rights activists wasted. The New Irish think we’re “spoilt”. Soon they’ll calling us “wasters” as the Irish workers refuse to accept Victorian work conditions. The New Irish will remind us they’re paying the taxes: they “own” the country – this country they squatted in, were invited to work in, where they are planting roots. Their children will inherit Ireland.
