Posted by A recent investigation found almost 7 thousand children have been reported missing from Tusla facilities since 2020. The Oireachtas committee yesterday “asked questions” of Tusla CEO Kate Duggan (who receives 209 thousand a year plus expenses). I’m sure “lessons will be learned” and it will all be swept under the carpet along with all the children who are abused, neglected, isolated AND sexually abused in unregulated privatised “for profit” so called care. But when all is said and done, 235 plus children who have died in “state care” since 2014 will still be dead in the ground. Last night I spoke for 3 hours to a mother whose child Mary Kate got horrendous injuries in a private for profit “care home” that received 500k a year for this one child (and traumatised her for life). This story is so unbelievably shocking (and I do not shocking easily anymore). There’s other parents too. The attempts to silence them with tactics such as judges applying gagging orders (telling them they cannot talk publicly about THEIR OWN CHILDREN) is sinister and disgusting. These families have their kids placed hundreds of kms away in some cases as punishment. We will help those parents put their stories on
