The tragic 23-year-old was killed while out for a run along a canal path near Cappincur Bridge in Tullamore on January 12, 2022.
Jozef Puska is currently serving a life sentencefor her murder after he was found guilty of the killing at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin in 2023.
The school teacher’s tragic death stunned the nation and as the four-year anniversary of the murder nears, the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund will host a memorial day in her honour.
The organiser said the special event will celebrate “the life and legacy” of the murdered Offaly native.
