The term “life in exile” refers to living away from one’s homeland not by choice, but because returning is unsafe, prohibited, or effectively impossible. In contrast, Rosie O’Donnell has chosen to leave the United States due to her opposition to the president and his policies. While disagreement with a government may motivate relocation, such a move remains a personal decision, not exile. Similarly, although I strongly disagree with the Irish Government and many of its policies, any decision I might make to relocate would be voluntary. It would therefore be a matter of choice, not a life lived in exile. ROSIE IS ALL MOUTH. NO EXILE, HER CHOICE.
