A WOMAN has allegedly been threatened, assaulted and sexually harassed on a busy train.

The horrifying incident occurred on a train from Victoria to Denmark Hill on Wednesday, December 3, cops said.

The suspect sat down next to the woman before allegedly threatening to punch her and sexually harassing her.

Terrified, the victim got up to leave but was stopped by the man.

The suspect reportedly blocked her path and prevented her from escaping the terrifying situation.

It wasn’t until a good Samaritan stepped in and confronted the man that he gave up and allow the victim to pass, police said.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of a man who may have information that could help with their investigation.

A probe into the assault remains ongoing with the British Transport Police asking any witnesses to come forward.

The force said: “Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 778 of 3 December.

“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
