It’s believed the body of a woman who has been missing since November was found in a drain by a walker
Gardai are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
The woman, who is believed to have been missing for several weeks, was discovered shortly before 3pm on Monday. It’s understood the body was found in a drain by a walker.
The scene near the Holy Year Cross has been preserved while the Garda Technical Bureau carry out investigations. The Irish Mirror understands gardai do not believe at this stage there is any suggestion of foul play.
The State Pathologist and Coroner have been notified and a post-mortem examination is being arranged.

A post-mortem is expected to take place later, but sources said gardai do not expect it to show any indication that the woman, who is believed to have been missing for several weeks, died at the hands of anyone else.
