A 44 year old man who stole €400 from man he pretended to buy a car from was told he will get a suspended sentence if he comes up with €1,000 for his victim and is found suitable for community service.
Before the court was Martin Joseph Sweeney, who has 90 previous convictions, 29 of which were for theft and fraud offences.
