Nobody likes to see anyone in prison but DJ Carey had to be stopped. Latest news coming from Flushing Meadows of Dublin 4 is that Carey has at least 50 to 60 victims who are afraid to come forward because these victims gave Carey lump sums in cash and they don’t want Revenue on their backs. One victim who informed a top Solicitor claimed he gave over £60,000 but he knows there is no hope that he will get his money back. People prefer to hide the shame. We will never know the fully extend of Carey’s cancer scam and the number of people he fooled. We hope when he is released he gets on with his life and maybe he can help young hurling potentials to fulfil their goals.

I hope he keeps a very low profile when he gets out; he would be a very bad example to young people who might be inclined to copy him.
