The U.S. military just carried out what looks like a full-on regime change operation in Venezuela, and no one fired back. According to Alex Christoforou, U.S. forces flew into Caracas, avoided all air defenses, captured Maduro and his wife, and are preparing to install a new government: “There were no air defenses, so there was no way for Venezuela’s military to prevent the capture of Maduro. Bribes were given out, people were paid off, and the air defenses were not activated. The U.S. military struck Caracas, hit whatever military bases they needed to hit. This is very much like what happened in Syria, they’ve done the same thing in Venezuela. They captured Maduro and his wife. Trump says he’ll announce everything in a press conference.”
