How do I know? Because we have a serious mental health crisis amongst our own people which is unaddressed AND is EXACERBATED by everything this government sets out and/or fails to do (the orchestrated cost of living crisis and housing crisis). We have 4000 or so children alone on mental health waiting lists. The government knows FULLY that it endangers the public by giving entry to unvetted people with complex mental health needs. They also know this places a burden on the people of this nation and further takes vital desperately needed services away from our own. While it’s true that most people with mental health difficulties will only ever be a risk to themselves, some WILL be an absolute risk, and we don’t know WHO. But what we can be sure of is when a serious crime is committed by an asylum seeker, there seems to be a propensity to allow them to escape jail because it was “a cry for help” or they have a “mental health difficulty”. Case in point below. Another such case was an Egyptian “asylum seeker” who murdered a Japanese man with a sword in Dundalk (he also tried to kill two other people that day). This was clearly terrorism but was downplayed as a mental health issue, and so he got a couple of years in Dundrum mental hospital with no deportation order. We live in a behavioural sink. By design, not accident. The government is SQUARELY responsible for such crimes (and the “opposition” isn’t innocent either). Not only did they let that person in unchecked, but they also failed to then ensure that person was not a danger to society. They wanted those violent people here. They STILL want that. It doesn’t matter WHO gets killed or raped in the process. We are sacrificial lambs. To all those do gooders who say I am racist; your support of all of this puts EVERYONE at risk. Migrants included. Note too that there’s plenty of money given to highly dysfuctional IPAS centres that are not conducive to creating healthy environments whereby residents can be mentally well. They also employ cheap unqualified cheap staff who are ill equipped to deal with such issues. How does that help the people you claim to care so much about? If they aren’t getting ahead of one of our own people on a list, then they’re left languishing. Are you fine with that? I suppose you are. As long as YOU feel good about yourself, that’s all that matters. I’m hedging my bets that the Somalian adult who was ALLOWED to pretend to be a child (and then stabbed a Ukrainian 17 year old over a hundred times and gouged his eyes out) will be the said to have been suffering mental health difficulties too. They won’t want that to ever get to the trial stage. Too much truth would emerge about Baig and Mirza (the unregulated foreign and Muslim run apartments where Tusla children are being “cared for,” as well as those who are NOT children at all) Too much would emerge about the Somalian man’s past. Too much would emerge about the government and Tusla’s transferring taxpayers’ money into the hands of those who have a vested interest in profit, NOT care. In those circumstances, mental health is used as an excuse to keep information hidden. Information that would jeopardise diversity is our strength and “humanitarian duty ” narratives.
