Dangerous, DENMARK: OUR TROOPS WILL FIRE IMMEDIATELY IF AMERICA INVADES GREENLAND, NO ORDERS NEEDED

Denmark just confirmed a Cold War-era military rule is still active: if anyone invades Greenland, Danish soldiers must open fire immediately without waiting for orders. The 1952 regulation states forces “must immediately take up the fight without waiting for or seeking orders” in the event of an attack. The Danish defense ministry told reporters this week that the rule “remains in force.” This comes as Trump has repeatedly threatened to take Greenland by force, calling it essential to U.S. national security. Press Sec Karoline Leavitt said Tuesday that military action is “always an option.” European allies are now holding urgent talks on how to respond to a possible U.S. attack on NATO territory.
