COPS have launched an urgent probe after a man in his 30s was reportedly sexually assaulted by another man at a bus stop.

The alleged assault is said to have happened in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, on October 13 at 4.15pm.

A man in his 30s said he was standing at the bus stop on Saltwell Road outside the Post Office when he was approached from behind by an unknown man, said Northumbria Police.

The man is reported to have groped the victim’s bottom before walking past him and making a comment.

The man in question is described as white and was wearing a blue top, grey joggers, black and white trainers and a black cap.
