The fierce mum stood her ground when the driver lost his temper

A MUM has revealed her fury after being shouted at by a bus driver who ordered her to disembark the vehicle in an unsafe location.

Yvonne Byrne, 39, said the driver lost his temper when she said she wasn’t going to get off the bus with her toddler until the driver pulled up somewhere safe.

The mum-of-two refused to get off the bus with her pram in an unsafe location

The mum-of-two from Swords was returning home on the 41 bus after a day out on New Year’s Day with her husband, daughter and one-year-old tot when the incident occurred.

She lives near the last stop on the route in Mooretown, where drivers have to do a u-turn around a roundabout to stop in the correct location.

However, Byrne told The Irish Sun that drivers regularly don’t do this.

They sometimes drop passengers off on the opposite side of the road from the stop where there is no pavement.

Dublin Bus has since launched a full investigation into the incident.

In a statement to The Irish Sun, Dublin Bus apologised and said an inspector is being dispatched to the location to investigate.

A spokesperson said: “We can assure you that the matter is being investigated in full and will be dealt with according to Dublin Bus policies and procedures.

“Dublin Bus apologises to this customer for the inconvenience caused.”
