An “infuriated” motorcyclist who killed his neighbour by punching him once to the head in an unprovoked attack has been jailed for six years.

The victim’s family members today described “living in a nightmare for 899 days” after the killing. After the sentence was handed down, Christopher O’Neill (31), winked and smiled at a person in the body of the courtroom. A member of the public told O’Neill to “wipe that stupid smile off your face” before prison officers escorted the defendant from the court.
