Micheál Martin has been urged facilitate an investigation into allegations contained in the Epstein files In a document contained within the US Department of Justice tranche of Epstein files, one email, which was allegedly sent to FBI officers, detailed claims that a young female trafficking victim was taken “to Ireland for politicians and notable men”. It previously emerged that there were more than 1,600 documents with references to Ireland in the files released by the US Department of Justice. These included legal letters about articles; a potential €10 billion deal for property in the US owned by AIB; and even mentions of Irish food such as Kerrygold Irish butter.
