A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Daniel Areubose, the child whose skeletal remains were found in Donabate in Dublin last year.
The man was arrested at Dublin Airport this afternoon following his deportation from Brazil.

Gardaí have been working closely with the authorities in Brazil on this case.
There are no direct flights from Brazil to Ireland so the man arrived in Dublin this afternoon on a flight from Lisbon in Portugal and was immediately arrested on suspicion of murder.
He was arrested at Dublin Airport by detectives investigating the murder of Daniel Areubose.
He came to the attention of the police there and this led to an examination of his status and his legal right to be in the country.
The authorities in Brazil say they then discovered he was in what they described as “an irregular immigration situation” and he was deported.
The man who is in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned tonight at a Dublin Garda station.
Daniel Aruebose was last seen alive at his home in The Gallery apartments in Donabate more than four-and-a-half years ago when he was just three years old.
His death and secret burial had been concealed until a check on social welfare payments first raised concerns at the Department of Social Protection, which alerted Tusla, who in turn contacted gardaí.
They commenced a search of waste ground near the child’s home in Donabate and his skeletal remains were discovered after two and a half weeks.
The man is the second person to be arrested in connection with the murder investigation which is being led by a team of detectives at Swords and supported by specialist units including the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
A woman in her 20s who was arrested last December on suspicion of murder was released without charge as the investigation into the child’s murder continues.
The man in custody tonight knew Daniel Areubose and the woman who was arrested and released without charge last December.
He also has spoken to gardaí before about the case.
However their investigation has clearly now progressed to the stage where they feel the need to interview him under caution and put questions and evidence they have gathered so far to him.
He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act which means he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
The earliest he must either be charged or released by is tomorrow afternoon.
