Omra Wali Jan was beaten, burnt with a lighter and bitten by Morsal Mohammed Naim, 32, and husband Firooz Wali Jan, 32.
Her mum has been jailed for manslaughter
The youngster tragically died from traumatic brain injuries caused by “extremely forceful shaking” at the hands of her mum.
Naim and Jan have now been jailed for a total of 15 years after pleading guilty to child cruelty.
Mum Naim also admitted manslaughter at Manchester Crown Court following the “sadistic” killing.

Sentencing, Mr Justice Turner said: “Although you pleaded guilty to manslaughter very late in the day, you have never admitted anything about the following – why you attacked your daughter; what form the attack took, when and in what circumstances you did so; and what you did and for how long in the aftermath.”
The court was told Omra was born in Afghanistan and raised by her dad’s family.
She came to live with her parents in Levenshulme in September 2023 where she was tragically subjected to a torture campaign.
The family home was described as “tightly confined” and of “poor quality”.
Naim told paramedics the toddler had collapsed and choked while eating a biscuit in the living room.
Omra was rushed to hospital where medics grew suspicious over several unexplained injuries to her body including burns and bruising.
Further tests revealed the youngster had a rib fracture and brain injury that suggested she had been shaken or struck against a hard surface.
Naim, who was the only person present when Omra was injured, was arrested on suspicion of assault before being charged two days later.
